ABSTRACT:   “ADVANCED GPRS AND ITS APPLICATIONS”                    This paper is intended for global system for mobile communication (GSM)Operators on understanding how enhanced data for global evolution(EDGE) can play an important role in the evolution towards wide band code division multiple access (WCDMA).This paper discusses the packet-switched enhancement of EDGE (EGPRS) and it leverages existing GSM system and complements WCDMA for further growth. Multimedia application will be supported such as multiple media stream handled through IMS domain.IP Multimedia Subsystem(IMS) provides various service to end users like MMS, video sharing  and interactive gamming.
