CROWD ENERGY-THE LATEST IN RENEWABLE ENERGY

ABSTRACT:            This paper deals about the conversion of Mechanical energy   to   Electrical   energy   using    Piezoelectric-effect   and introduces a new form of energy known as Crowd energy. People are  considered  as  largest   source  of  mechanical  energy,  the Piezoelectric Ceramic sheets which produces voltage when stress is applied, is  placed under the shoes\slippers, so when people walk wearing these ‘Power Shoes’ imparting stress on them  produce electricity on their every step of walk which could be stored in a tiny Battery placed  under  their  Shoes\Slippers.  This  paper also deals about the other  possible ways of harnessing the muscular energy of  human,  which  is  being  wasted  such  as  in  computer keyboards.
